Pray to God with Devotion
“Don’t seek God with any ulterior motive, but pray to Him with devotion — unconditional, one-pointed, steady devotion. When your love for Him is as great as your attachment to your mortal body, He will come to you.”
~ Paramahansa Yogananda
When you pray to God, give all of yourself to Him.
Don’t be half-hearted in your effort, and don’t be insincere either.
When you pray to God only because you want something, you are not doing yourself any favors.
God doesn’t need any of our prayers — sincere or insincere — but it is through earnest devotion that we can actually connect more with Him.
To be near the Beloved is the greatest source of peace and joy in this world, if only we realize.
So, pray to God with devotion. Meditate with devotion. Be of service with devotion.
God loves the devotee’s heart more than anything else.
